This week we have an update from the Knights Ferry Elementary School:

“The end of the school year is approaching quickly! Knights Ferry students are ready to be busy! We are looking forward to our annual Open House where students can show off what they have been working on in the classroom. That evening we will be hosting our Talent Show and Gallery Walk. Students are very excited to show off their special skills and the artwork they’ve been creating this year!

The third grade classroom is embarking to the Los Banos Wildlife Center to go explore nature and wildlife in that area! They’ve been researching ecosystems and they are excited to create poster boards about their assigned biome!”

Thank you to Mrs. Madsen and Mrs. Moore for the update. We always love hearing from our little school on the hill.

The Knights Ferry History & Museum Associates are looking for donations to fix the elevator that goes up to the museum. In their newsletter they write: “Our “big” expense this year is our elevator ‘lift’ that is needed for handicap or others with mobility challenges. The original lift was installed in 1987 and, unfortunately, is now beyond repair as the seal has failed, the oil has leaked out and the company who installed it is no longer in business. The replacement cost is $41,490. We have $20,000 toward the project but have a gap to fill. Any donation towards the project would be greatly appreciated!”
