All in the community are encouraged to come and celebrate on Wednesday, Nov. 11 as Oakdale recognizes its veterans and the service they have provided.

Veterans Appreciation Day ceremonies are scheduled at 1 p.m. on Nov. 11 at the Veterans Monument in William A. Fish Veterans Park on Pontiac Street, by Cliffwood Way in Oakdale.

This will be a day of remembrance and appreciation of veterans and will include speakers, music, an official Flag Retirement ceremony by the Boy Scouts and an ‘open mic’ session.

Seating is limited, but those planning to attend can bring chairs to set up in the park by the monument for the festivities.
