The Pointe of Dance 7th annual dance recital featuring the talents of 140 dancers, ranging in age from 3 to 17, will be held at the River Oak Grace amphitheater Saturday, June 27 at 6 p.m.
The recital is free to the public, but the dance studio will be selling snacks and goodies as well as flowers for anyone who might need to buy a bouquet for the dancer in the family.
The dancers have been preparing for the Disney-themed event since February and the costumes are all taken from classic Disney films, such as Mulan, Alice in Wonderland, and Cinderella.
“This is our end of the year spring show for friends and family,” Rachel Turnage, Pointe of Dance studio owner said. “This is the best time of year. We just love it.”
Recently, the dance studio has seen a surge in the number of dancers. Two years ago, there were approximately 80 dancers registered to the studio, Turnage said.
“But we took quite a jump. It’s great,” she said.
