Local 4-Hers Compete At State Fashion Revue

Several members of Oakdale’s Sierra, Valley Home, and Orange Blossom 4-H Clubs recently competed at the State 4-H Fashion Revue held in Davis at the State 4-H Field Day.
Sierra 4-H club members Melissa, Denise, and Tiffany Thompson competed with Tiffany being the state winner in the Intermediate Apron Challenge. She made a reversible apron with a lamb on one side and flowers in flower pots that were actually pockets on the other.
Melissa Thompson made a wool outfit consisting of a top, jacket, hat, capri pants, and a purse, which earned her a first place blue ribbon and a medal in the Traditional category, intermediate division.
Denise Thompson made a reversible apron for the Junior Apron Challenge. She received a first place blue ribbon and a medal.
Emily Pinheiro of Sierra 4-H competed in the Consumer Science/Purchased category in the junior age group, receiving a first place blue ribbon and a medal.
Nikki Truhett from Valley Home 4-H Club competed in the Embellished Outfit category, junior age group where she earned a first place blue ribbon and a medal.
Ashley Parreira of Orange Blossom 4-H Club won a first place blue ribbon and a medal in the Traditional category, junior age group.
