At the meeting of the History and Museum Associates new gutters for Miller’s Hall were discussed. The old ones are hard to clean and the upper story ones are very hard to reach. The April Peddler’s Faire time line was also discussed.

Tristan McCarthy celebrated his 6th birthday with a party at the Ice Cream Parlor. Games were played and faces were painted. All enjoyed the ice cream sundaes.

Hanna Holland is signing a Letter of Intent for Humboldt State.

At the pre meeting of the Knights Ferry School Board, Sergeant Ben Savage and Lieutenant Keri Redd talked on the school’s safety program. They said Knights Ferry School gets an A on their safety implementation. They had been out earlier in the year and surveyed the grounds and offered ideas to make the school safer. At the winter break a public address system will be installed.

Also at the School Board meeting they discussed the Board Policy update, AB 484 and Proposition 39. The Board approved the Actuarial Study of Retiree Health Liabilities and for the whole Board to attend the CSBA Board workshop in January. The Board thanked Bob Brunker for his work on the Board.

Movie night is November 23rd at the clubhouse. Doors open at 6:30 with the movie “Mouse Hunt” to start at 7:00 p.m. Bring unwrapped toy and canned good for the less fortunate.

The annual “Feast” put on by the KFS Junior High is Tuesday, November 26th at 11:00 a.m. at the clubhouse. This event is free and the food is good!
