The locals in Knights Ferry got to experience a little of old fashioned life with a “boil water notice” and then a power outage in the same weekend. On October 21, 2021, the locals were notified to boil drinking or food preparation water to avoid illness due to a recent power outage when the water distribution system was depressurized. The notice did not give an official end date but they had hoped the system would be re-pressurized by Saturday evening. As of Sunday evening, the locals were not given the go-ahead to use water without boiling yet. Then on Sunday evening, there was an unexpected power outage! It is likely due to the wind and rain in the area.

The countdown is on for the Pumpkin Roll! The scheduled date is November 7, 2021. The Pancake Breakfast is scheduled for the morning, the Knights Ferry Museum is open for visitors, the Garden Club will be selling their Pumpkin Rolls, and there will be lots of vendors at the Community Club! Bring the family down and enjoy the day!

Kaeli Sturtevant and Jason Kossoff welcomed a beautiful baby girl named Rosemary Jane Kossoff to their family on October 21, 2021 at 2:50pm! Rosemary weighed 7 pounds and was 19 inches long. She is absolutely perfect and loved by her local family Papa and Mimi, Josh and Michelle Patton, and aunts and uncles, Dayne, Carter, Lily, and Quinton.
