After a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia, Mike Damigo passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020. His wife, Charilyn is involved in the Knights Ferry Church, Knights Ferry Community Club, and has been a substitute at Knights Ferry School. Though they are what we might call a ‘transplant’ local, they have worked hard to support our community. Mike is a Marie Corps Veteran and retired after 25 years with Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office. Mike’s memorial service will be on February 22 at the Senior Center in Oakdale with a reception to follow. Contributions in Mike’s honor may be sent to the Wine Country Marines.

The Oakdale Fire Protection District’s regular meeting was rescheduled for tonight, Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 6pm at the Community Club. The local community can take part in preparing for the upcoming season of fire protection in the area by attending the meetings. Please take the time to get involved!

Grant Wright and girlfriend, Kelsey welcomed Hudson Wright into the world on January 6, 2020. Baby Wright weighed 7lbs, 9oz and was 19.5 inches long. Congratulations to the Wright family, especially, grandparents Tom and Heather Wright!
