In preparation for the inaugural Oakdale Baseball and Softball Association (OBSA) season, the association will hold its first player evaluation day. The tryout will be held on Saturday, Jan. 30 at T.L. Davis Sports Complex from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for both youth baseball and softball players. If rain occurs during these hours, the tryouts will be held Saturday, Feb. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Helping assist with the tryouts will be members of the Oakdale High School baseball and softball teams. Players will be working on their fielding, batting and speed throughout the day.

If your child is interested in joining OBSA, it is not too late. All softball hopefuls and first year baseball players can sign up at T.L. Davis Sports Complex during evaluations, but must bring their birth certificate for the sign-ups.

OBSA will have their opening day ceremony on Saturday, March 19 at T.L. Davis Sports Complex. For more information about OBSA log onto their website at www.oakdalebsa.com.
