Looking across the freshly mowed grass of Valley Home school one could easily feel the pride the 100-plus year old institution instills within our community. The sky was a beautiful blue and filled with wispy white clouds that floated with the morning breeze, the kind you feel like you could just reach up and touch. It was the day before Easter and the Valley Home 4-Hers had hidden over 600 brightly decorated eggs throughout the school yard. As the warm morning sun peeked down, you could hear the children’s excited laughter as they ran from one hidden egg to the next filling their baskets high with Easter eggs. An hour after the egg hunt had started happy kids had piled their baskets high, received their prizes and were saying goodbye to friends, when we’re sure we saw the old school smile...once more it had provided a beautiful schoolyard for Valley Home kids to hunt eggs at Easter time! Our appreciation to Mr. Gary Lewis...thank you for going the extra mile.

Wow, what a night it was last Wednesday evening when Valley Home school hosted their K through 8th grade Science Fair. All students were involved with the top projects going on to County. The students worked many hours and were extremely proud of their hard work, enthusiasm and knowledge they had put into their projects. During the evening dinner was available and proud parents, grandparents, friends and neighbors could be seen visiting projects and sharing each student’s success. Congratulations to all!
