Good morning to all. I hope you have each had a very pleasant week.
This past weekend was an exciting one in Valley Home. We send a huge thank you to Christina Matos Barreto and her amazing family. This wonderful family put together their annual “Valley Home Vendor Fair” for all to enjoy. The Fall Vendor Fair was held in the Bonnie Gellerman Multi-Purpose Room at our Valley Home School. The room was packed Saturday afternoon as friends and neighbors enjoyed a day of holiday shopping and camaraderie. Lots of friendly banter could be heard as folks greeted each other with handshakes and hugs. The Fall Vendor Fair gives our community and surrounding communities the opportunity to start their Christmas shopping early. There are many special and unique items for folks to choose from. Several folks enjoyed the delicious meal of tri tip, Portuguese beans, a delicious cookie and a drink of your choice. Proceeds from the tri-tip meal and the bake sale benefited our Valley Home students. We are very grateful to this amazing and very giving family. Thank you to each of you; you are very, very much appreciated.

On Saturday our veterans were honored with a very special patriotic parade in Oakdale. Folks paid tribute to our veterans in decorated vehicles, floats, bicycles, and on foot. As the community lined the streets of Oakdale, many folks also came from out of our area to pay tribute to our veterans. We are forever grateful to the men and women who served our great country. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Our friends in Knights Ferry hosted a wonderful day celebrating the Stanislaus River Salmon Festival this past Saturday. The Salmon Festival is always the second Saturday in November; remember to mark your calendars for next year, November 9, 2024. It was an amazing day enjoyed by so many. A very special thank you to all who made this celebration possible and especially our Sierra 4-H Club.
