The Safe Kids Stanislaus program made a stop in Oakdale recently, with technicians available to help make sure child safety seats, infant seats and boosters were installed properly and were still safe to use. Children were also measured and weighed to make sure they were utilizing the proper safety device while riding in the vehicle. Here, Oakdale resident Diane Ruiz, left, checks out a seat while workers Cathy Dollarhide, center and Chayito Hurtado go through some paperwork. Several stations were set up to funnel attendees through the event on a recent Saturday morning. Some new car seats were distributed as well.
