Rescue Mission Members Serve Up Supper, Hope
ORM 1
The grill masters were kept busy flipping the burgers, hot dogs and veggie burgers to keep the masses fed on Saturday evening for the Oakdale Rescue Mission fundraiser.

With testimony presented from some residents they have helped get back on track, volunteers with the Oakdale Rescue Mission served up hope along with great music, food, fellowship and a variety of raffle and silent auction items on Saturday.

The group’s annual ‘Burger Fest’ fundraiser saw a steady stream of diners for the barbecued hot dogs, hamburgers and veggie burgers, which were served with chips, pasta salad, broccoli salad, fruit salad, tempting trays of desserts and beverages.

Music was provided by local praise group Steadfast Heart and more than one testimony was given, well-received by diners enjoying the evening at the Community United Methodist Church.

Organizers said the event was a success, bringing in several thousand dollars to help the Oakdale Rescue Mission continue its work in the community.
