The Center For Human Services’ Oakdale Family Resource and Counseling Center is holding its “Project Prom: Don’t Stress the Dress” event on Friday, March 22 from 2p.m. to 5p.m.

At the event, there will be free dresses, accessories, gift certificates, and more available for local teens preparing for prom.

CHS Oakdale recently participated in the OHS Prom Fashion Show and was able to provide many students with fliers and information about the event.

“One student told us that she wasn’t going to go to prom because she didn’t want to burden her family with the expenses,” said Tamberly Humble, CHS Oakdale Program Coordinator. “We hope our event will take some of the financial strain out of the prom pressure so all teens can enjoy their high school prom.”

CHS Oakdale Family Resource Center is located at 631 W. F St.; the number is (209) 847-0420.
