Both of Oakdale’s cemeteries will have Memorial Day observations for the community. The Independent Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.) Oakdale Lodge #228 will place flags at Oaklawn Cemetery (Memorial Park) on North Sierra Avenue on Saturday, May 29 at 9 a.m.
The Romain Schell Post #2922 Veterans Foreign Wars, Oakdale, will host a ceremony on Monday, May 31 at 11 a.m. at the Oakdale Citizens Cemetery, East J Street. Flags for the ceremony will be placed by the Oakdale Historical Society.
Both cemeteries will be open on Memorial Day.
