Library

A reminder to local residents, the Oakdale Public Library, 151 S. First Ave., is a designated Stanislaus County cooling center for the community. With temperatures on Saturday predicted to soar well past 100 degrees – inching up near 110, residents that need a break from the heat are encouraged to come in to the library for some cool air.

The library is open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; all are welcome to come in and cool off for a bit as well as enjoy a cool bottle of water, with many cases previously donated by community residents.
