Holiday Concerts Offered Throughout Region

“Voices For the King” will be presenting their fifth annual Christmas Concert on Saturday, Dec. 13. This holiday event will be held in Ripon at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, 517 Orange Ave., starting at 7 p.m. The “Voices For the King” group is a Christian men’s choral group. The 29-voice group represents nine different local churches, and throughout the year they sing at various church worship services and fundraisers for ministries. All are invited to come and enjoy a night of great music, singing, and fellowship, making this a part of your Christmas celebration. For more information, call 612-9438.

The Columbia Community Chorus with a 20-member orchestra will inspire and delight audiences with their annual Sounds of the Season concert at the Opera Hall in Sonora this month. Concerts are Dec. 5, 6, and 7, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. This year’s program includes pieces familiar, unique and classical with ever-popular caroling with the audience and ending with Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus. YES (Youth Entertainment Stage) Company is gearing up for its fifth annual production of “Gift of Song,” a holiday music review and sing-a-long, slated to open at the Johansen High School Theatre in December. A special project of the Stanislaus County Office of Education and the Education Foundation of Stanislaus County, tickets ($10-$12) are now on sale at www.showtix4u.com.
