Annual Spring Fest Saturday

The City of Oakdale, in cooperation with the Kiwanis Club of Oakdale, is hosting the ninth annual Kids Spring Fest on Saturday, April 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Scheduled the day before Easter, the festivities will include egg hunts for kids, games, a disc jockey, hot dogs, prize drawings and more.

The spring fest will be hosted at Kerr Park on North Stearns Road. The Oakdale CAPS will also be providing bicycle licenses for $2; bring your bike to the event for licensing.

The egg hunt is open to kids from birth to 12-years-old, with scheduled hunt times based on age. The youngest group, children up to 3-years-old, will take off at 10:30 a.m. for their hunt. Ages 4 and 5 will hunt starting at 10:50 a.m., ages 6 to 8 start at 11:10 a.m.; and 9- to 12-year-olds start at 11:30 a.m.

Free hot dogs will be served starting at noon and drawing for prizes will be at 12:30 p.m.

This annual event is being put on with the help of several community and business sponsors and more information is available by contacting the city’s Recreation Department at 845-3591.
