Youth Basketball Camp

The Oakdale High School basketball program will be hosting a youth camp this month. Camp runs from Tuesday, May 28 through Friday, May 31. For players in third through fifth grades, the camp runs from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and players from sixth grade through ninth are scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside the Oakdale High School main gym. The cost is $60 per camper. This will include a T-shirt and a free basketball for the first 100 campers to sign up. Campers should wear their camp T-shirt, athletic socks, athletic shorts, and basketball shoes to camp. For more information, contact Coach Hondo Arpoika via email at harpoika@ojusd.org.

 

Upward Football

Flag football season is rapidly approaching. Football for local youngsters is scheduled from August to November and players must be in first through sixth grades. It is an eight-game season. Cost to play is $125 per player, and a sibling discount is available. Registration ends July 20 with late registration ending July 29. Evaluations will take place on July 20 with the season scheduled to begin Sept. 7. Practices and games are scheduled to be held at Sierra View Elementary School. Stampede Feed

Oakdale Stampede Football and Cheer will host the Stampede Feed on Saturday, June 29. The event will be held at the Bianchi Community Center with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and dinner served at 6 p.m. Tickets are priced at $50 each or reserve a table for 10 for the price of $450. WWE In Stockton

The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is coming to Stockton this summer. On Sunday, June 9 WWE takes over the Stockton Arena for WWE Live. Currently scheduled to appear are WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor, Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Bayley, Elias, Shinsuke Nakamura and more. Doors open at 6 p.m. and bell time is scheduled for 7 p.m. Card subject to change. Tickets start as low as $15.
