The Oakdale boys basketball program is offering a winter skills camp for young basketball players. Boys in grades five through eight are encouraged to sign up for the basketball camp to work on their skills on both the offensive and defensive side of the floor. Coached by OHS varsity coach Hondo Arpoika, his staff and players, this camp is set to begin on Saturday, Feb. 4 and end on Friday, March 3. Signups are on Saturday, Jan. 21 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the OHS Main Gym and the second signup date will be held Saturday, Jan. 28 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. inside the Main Gym.

The cost is $50 per camper and the first 100 signups will receive a free basketball. Each camper will also receive a reversible camp jersey. Campers are expected to wear the jersey along with athletic shorts, socks and basketball shoes to the camp. The intent of the camp is to have a spring travel team to compete against local cities to help develop the young talent of Oakdale.
