The Oakdale boys golf team finished their regular season with a nail-biting victory over East Union, defeating the Lancers 213-219 on Thursday, April 27. Oakdale finished tied for first place in the Valley Oak League standings but the championship was decided at the Valley Oak League Championship Tournament held at Sierra on Monday, May 1 following The Leader’s press time.

In the final regular season victory for Oakdale, Zackary Tamburrino and Josh Barrera each set the bar for Oakdale as they shot a 40 for the Mustangs in the nine hole match against East Union. One stroke behind them was David Myrtakis at 41. Calvin Reed and Max Moore each shot a 46 and Tristian Jaramillo finished with a 48.

Oakdale will compete in the CIF Division III Playoffs at Yolo Fliers Golf Course on Monday, May 8. Tee time is set for 11 a.m.
