The Oakdale High School boys golf team continues to dominate the Valley Oak League. The Mustangs completed the season sweep over East Union this past week with a 200-243 road win. With the win, the boys improved to 11-0 and are in position to win the Valley Oak League.
This was the team’s lone match of the week and their first since returning from spring break. On Tuesday, Oakdale traveled to Manteca to take on the Lancers at Manteca Park. Led by freshman Ryan Meyer’s 36, the Mustangs knocked off the Lancers for the fourth straight time. Meyer finished two strokes better than opponent Ty Griggs to sit on top of the leaderboard. David Myrtakis shot an impressive 38 on the day for Oakdale. Both Calvin Reed and Tristan Jaramillo shot a 41 for Oakdale and Max Moore (44) and Kyle Seese (59) finished out the afternoon scoring.
This week Oakdale takes on Weston Ranch in 18-hole action on Thursday, April 19 at Oakdale Golf and Country Club. Tee time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
