Dear Editor,

The Boy’s Golf Program of Escalon High School would like to once again thank the staff and membership of Oakdale Golf and Country Club for its continued use as our home course. We understand that hosting two high schools on your golf course is not easy, and we consider ourselves very fortunate that everyone at Oakdale Golf and Country Club goes out of their way to accommodate us.

We would like to state what a privilege it is to have such a wonderful course to call our “home.” We honestly believe that Oakdale Golf and Country Club is the finest facility in the valley, bar none. When we travel to play other courses, we are not afforded the special treatment, the excellence of conditions, or the supportive staff that we have while playing at Oakdale. Every coach who brings a team to Oakdale Golf and Country Club realizes the privilege of playing at such a fine facility and the terrific golfing experience that it provides. They are all truly envious.

We would like to also thank the highly professional employees, and once again assert what a wonderful job they do in representing the club. Rick Schultz, Mike Dowd, and the entire staff are terrific individuals who certainly help accentuate the high level of customer service that makes Oakdale Golf and Country Club so special. Their expertise and willingness to help in any capacity, does nothing but enhance a feeling of good will.

Finally, we would like to thank Oakdale Golf and Country Club for their care and concern in promoting junior golf. The membership at Oakdale Golf and Country Club realizes that the future of the sport lies in the hands of young golfers. Affording high school students an opportunity to play the game of golf in a quality setting, with respect for the course and the rules, only enhances the love of the sport.

We would also like to recognize our Oakdale Golf and CC brethren, Oakdale High School. It is a pleasure to work with Coach Lee McGhee and the terrific young men of Oakdale High. The Mustang Golf Program has a lot to be proud of.
