Nisse Lorea, 90, died Wednesday, July 24 in Centennial, Colo.

She was born and raised in Oakdale to Tony Funari and Keri Armeloni. She lived in Oakdale for more than 60 years with her husband.

Mrs. Lorea worked at the Oakdale branch of Bank of America until her retirement. She was an avid golfer and gardener, and she loved to cook and entertain. She was an amazing woman with an incredible spirit and she will be deeply missed.

In her last days, she was comforted by her daughter-in-law, two of her grandchildren, and three of her great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law Barbara Lorea; grandchildren, Lisa Sweeney, Heather Haight, Troy Braswell; and great-grandchildren, Bryon Erbe, Coleton Haight, Brooke Haight, Emma Sweeney, and Jameson Braswell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lorea; and son, William P. Lorea.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel, 830 W. F St., Oakdale.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in her honor to the Oakdale Fire Department, 325 East G St., Oakdale, CA 95361.
