Born in Rockford, Illinois to Ernest and Florence Williams. He spent most of his childhood in the Dakotas. He joined the Navy at the age of 17. He met his wife, Charlotte, on Christmas Eve 1967 and married her a few short weeks later. They lived in Southern California before deciding to move north to Oakdale in 1974. They moved to a one-acre property where they raised their family. He secured a job as a maintenance mechanic at Gallo where he worked for 29 years before retiring.
Over the years he raised nearly every kind of animal and had gardens of every size on that land. He learned to shear sheep, built himself a trailer and went around to the small sheep herds shearing sheep. After retiring he took many classes at MJC that led to new interests such as guitar, violin and choir. He was well known for wearing overalls and always wanting to tell you a story.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte, children Ronda (David) Verdegaal, Tim (Kim) Williams and Holly (Mike) Barnes along with grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was laid to rest April 10th at Burwood Cemetery, Escalon CA.
