Wow! Our big weekend has arrived. This Saturday folks will gather from miles around to support our Valley Home School students! There are a few tickets available for this special evening. Tasty food, delicious drinks, dancing and delightful auction items will combine to make this evening a night to remember. Tickets are $40 apiece or $75 a couple. Reserved tables are available, a beautiful table for 8 with a round of drinks from the bar, first served, is available for $400! Bring your friends and family and enjoy an evening of wonderful fun. The “Spring Fling” will be held this weekend, April 21st at the Escalon Community Center! Happy times during this Rodeo weekend for the ever young Mr. Earl Fife! Earl and his grandchildren enjoyed very special time together being involved in all things rodeo. Something that is very near and dear to Earl’s heart. Way to go Papa Earl!

Tayler, brother Bubba, mom and dad Debbee and Russell, now live in Bells, Texas. Tayler attends the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. Debbee and Russell were able to travel to Georgian to enjoy Tayler’s special day. Happy Birthday Tayler, we miss you in Valley Home!

Valley Home students made a great showing at last week’s Spelling Bee! The Spelling Bee was held at Gratton School. A special thank you to Gratton School for hosting this great event.

At the April 12th meeting, the Oakdale Rural Fire Board reported on the Town Hall meeting held to inform and update citizens on the annexation of Division 1 North and Woodward Reservoir. The meeting was held at the Valley Home Station on April 4th, flyers were sent out to residents in that area inviting them to this important Town Hall meeting. The next regular monthly meeting will be held in Knights Ferry on May 10th at 10 a.m. All are invited to attend!
