It’s here! This Saturday, October 26 come out and enjoy a great dinner and tons of fun at our Valley Home School Harvest Festival! The fun begins at 6:00 p.m. at Valley Home School, 13231 Pioneer Avenue in Valley Home. Bring your family out and enjoy a delicious family priced BBQ chicken dinner, linguica, tri tip, hot dogs, nachos, chili or enjoy a treat from our delightful harvest Sweet Shop. We will be serving Mrs. Mattos’ famous homemade Portuguese sweet bread, divine sugar cookies, candied apples, pies and other yummy treats! Ol’ man Culpepper’s Pumpkin Patch will welcome folks looking for that special pumpkin or a place to take pictures and create fall memories! Relax on hay bales while enjoying a tasty treat from Moore’s S’mores! So much fun! Games all evening, contests such as pie eating at 6:30 p.m., milk drinking 6:45 will keep the laughter flowing! From 6-8 p.m. your decorated pumpkins, carved pumpkins and scarecrows will be judged (must be brought from home) winners will be announced at 8:00 p.m. At 7:00 p.m. our Harvest parade of costumes will parade throughout the festival for all to see! Come join the fun! Be in costume parade line at 7:00 p.m. Our costume parade winner will be announced at 8:00 p.m. Grab your friends and family and take a hayride through the haunted pumpkin patch. Agony Bagbones and his decaying pumpkin relatives will greet you throughout the haunted hayride! The hayride runs from 7:30 pm -8:30 p.m. at the far end of the school.

We are excited to offer a wonderful assortment of silent auction items to bid on. Your donations and the money you spend goes directly 100 percent for our Valley Home School students (class projects and school activities) This year our classes will once again be offering Class Baskets with all money raised going directly to each class! For your dining pleasure and for great fun we will be offering Bingo during dinner in the school gym!

We are looking forward to a visit from our Stanislaus County Sheriff’s helicopter and deputies on the ground early in the evening. We are excited to welcome our California Highway Patrol. Come out and meet our CHP officer who patrols our area. Stop by and say hello to our Modesto firefighters. Here is your chance to thank them for all they do for us every day! We are also looking forward to a possible visit from Oakdale Police Department, a big surprise!

We are also excited to have joining us this year, the amazing “pull truck” Overkill 2.0 out of Escalon! So exciting! We would like to offer a huge “Thank You” to all who make this special night in Valley Home possible. Please join us for a great dinner and a wonderful evening of fun!
