lib summer

Warm weather and sunny days are here. If you are looking for ways to make the most out of your summer, why not check out what’s new at the Stanislaus County Library? There is so much to explore at the Library this June, including virtual programs, a new subscription box for teens, story time kits and more. Information on many of these exciting programs and services can be found below. For a complete list of virtual Library programs taking place this June, visit the online calendar of events.

The Library’s free teen subscription box is available for grades 6-12. Each box will contain a handpicked recommendation based on your preferences, treats, and swag. Return the book and box by their due date but keep the treats and swag. Teens can register starting the beginning of each month for another exciting box, to be picked up at the Stanislaus County Library location of their choosing. Advance registration is required, as supplies are limited.

Registration for July’s Teen Book Box is underway.

The new Read to Me! kits are a fun way to bring Story Time home. Each themed kit contains four to six books, a puppet, a music CD, and a fingerplay booklet. Library staff members have designed this program for parents and caregivers of preschool-aged children, and any adult with a valid Stanislaus County Library card can check out these kits.

For more information, contact the Children’s and Teen Services Department at 209-558-7810, or by email at childrens@stanlibrary.org.
