California State Assemblyman Heath Flora announced a mobile district office in Knights Ferry. The mobile district office will be once a month in the Miller’s Hall library. The first scheduled date and time is February 18th from 4:30pm-5:30pm. The mobile district office will provide expanded customer service. Constituents with concerns and issues with regard to healthcare, Veteran’s Affairs, EDD, DMV, Franchise Tax Board, and other state related concerns can meet directly with district staff on a first come-first served basis. It is wonderful hear the district office is offering a local option for people to share their concerns!

The Knights Ferry third through sixth graders visited the State Capitol last week! The crew drove up to Sacramento and toured the capitol building and met with Assemblyman Heath Flora in his office. They even had an electronic greeting message to the students when they entered the California State Assembly chamber.

The Kindergarteners celebrated the 100th day of school by dressing up as their geriatric future selves. They really got into the theme! Some kids wore white wigs, sprayed their own hair with grey hair coloring, wore glasses and shawls and there were even a few canes! Hadley Sachau was looking fancy with her hair in a bun, black frame glasses, shawl, a pearl necklace, and a cane. She is going to be a very cute elder!

Martin Luther King Jr. day was a very busy day in town. Many people came out to enjoy the gorgeous day in Knights Ferry. Bike riding, dog walking, hiking, and eating ice cream seemed to be the most popular activities around town.
