Oakdale Police are continuing their investigation into a Friday morning accident.
Information released by the police department indicated that on Friday, Sept. 6 shortly before 7:30 a.m., Oakdale Police Department officers were dispatched to North First Avenue and East C Street to investigate a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision. The pedestrian was walking northbound crossing the street when she was struck by a Chevrolet truck that was eastbound on C Street.
The pedestrian – whose name was not released by the police department – sustained major non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Memorial Medical Center for treatment. Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the collision. The fault of the collision has not been determined and is still under investigation.
