Arrests, recovery of stolen goods result from burglary investigation

Weapons were seized and two arrests made by the Oakdale Police Department in connection with a recent burglary.

Police said they received a report of a burglary in the area of Stearns Road and East F Street. During the incident, it was reported that several firearms, jewelry, gems, and other miscellaneous items were stolen.

An investigation was initiated by the Oakdale Police Department Investigations Division. Through multiple interviews and the execution of search warrants, detectives identified two possible suspects in the case.

A search warrant was later served at one of the suspect’s residences in Oakdale, according to information released by the police department, where it was believed the stolen property was being stored. During the service of the search warrant, several stolen firearms, gems, and other miscellaneous items were recovered.

As a result of the investigation, two individuals were taken into custody on various felony charges, and a large portion of the stolen property was recovered.

Police said the suspects include a 41-year-old Modesto resident and a 38-year-old Oakdale resident.
