Plans are in the works for a third installment of the popular fundraising ‘Once Upon A Tomb’ program, hosted at the Oakdale Citizens Cemetery on East J Street.
Featuring actors portraying notable local citizens buried in the cemetery, the call is going out for those who want to audition for parts in the production this year.
Monologues will be provided in advance; auditions are scheduled for Saturday, May 30.
The program, put on in the fall, features tour guides leading groups of attendees to the various grave sites of the notable citizens, as the actor or actress provides a monologue at the site, outlining their life and their connection to the area.
For an audition, contact Amy Velasco at 209-840-2273.
Organizers encourage all in the area with an interest in history – and acting – to make time to audition.
“Come be a part of the most anticipated event of the year,” the casting call information states, “where enchantment meets entertainment, and mystery meets history.”
