Oakdale High School sports are back and this week will see plenty of action.

Water polo players dove into their season when both the boys and girls traveled to take on Lincoln of Stockton on Tuesday, Aug. 21 at 4 p.m.

It will be a busy week for the volleyball team as they were scheduled to begin their preseason play at Golden Valley on Monday, Aug. 23. Wednesday, Aug. 25 the girls head to Sonora for non-conference play beginning with freshman at 4 p.m., junior varsity at 5 p.m. and varsity at 6 p.m. Oakdale’s regular season opens up on Wednesday, Sept. 1 against Kimball. The season opener will be played at home.

Girls golf is expected to play in the Yellowjacket Invitational on Monday, Aug. 30 and their first Valley Oak League contest is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 2 against Kimball in Tracy.

Coming up, Oakdale’s cross country team is slated to have its season opener on Sept. 2 at Tracy for the Jaguar Invitational. Girls tennis is still waiting for their season opener as well, slated to take place on Sept. 7 at home against East Union at 3:30 p.m.
