The youngest players in the Oakdale Youth Soccer League, top photo, rush after the ball in the Under 6 division, as the Green Gators took on the Sharks, in white jerseys. In photo below, players in the Under 14 competitive program of the OYSL took the field as well at T.L. Davis on Saturday. Here, Taylor Rossini, center, battles it out with a Stockton opponent as teammate Montana Nunes, at left, looks on. The host Oakdale United Insanity girls took a 4-0 win off the field, with three goals from Izzy Arellano, one unassisted and two assisted by Danae Rose. Rose tallied the fourth goal, with an assist from Brittnie Carpenter on a throw in. The Insanity defense didn’t allow many shots, and one that did seem destined for the goal was saved by defender Ally Jackson, sweeping it clear before it crossed the goal line late in the game, preserving the shutout victory. Coaches are reminded to submit information on rec and comp games to The Leader for publication.
