Your article “Oakdale Teachers Pack School Board Meeting” (Jan. 14) contains what I feel is an error through omission concerning remarks made by Mr. Terry Trowbridge. As I was in attendance that night, I heard Mr. Trowbridge state that he felt the large reserve the district has maintained was money belonging to the teachers, the support staff, and the students of Oakdale. I was disappointed that your article simply quoted Mr. Trowbridge as stating that the money “belongs to the teachers.” That is an incomplete quote that misrepresents his point.
