Ruby Marie Ingram, 72, died Thursday, Sept. 24 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Hughes County, OK in 1937 and moved to California in 1943, where she later met and married her husband in 1954. She moved to Oakdale in 1965 and retired from Hunt Wesson Foods after 42 years.

She was proud to be involved with the V.F.W., Rebekahs, Moose Lodge, and many other service organizations.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Glen Ingram; sons, Marcus Ingram of Endeavor, WI, Michael Ingram of St. Louis, MO; sisters, Winnie Rainey, Margaret Meeks; brother, Leon Carpenter; grandchildren, April Ingram, Amber Ingram, Jennifer Ingram and Sebastian Ingram; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service/open house will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2 at the Ingram’s house, 419 Davitt Ave., Oakdale.

Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society.
