Linda Jeanne Hagemann, 78, died peacefully on Monday, Oct. 22.

She was born in San Francisco to Ellis and Ruby Brooks.

Mrs. Hagemann and her husband raised their children on the family farm in the Livermore Valley. She loved being a farmer’s wife and raising her children with true country values.

She worked many years for the Alameda County Fair. She and her husband retired to Oakdale in 1995 to be close to their children.

She touched the lives of those who met her and was an inspiration to those who knew her. All of her children and grandchildren will miss her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, August; children, Stephen (Janae) Hagemann, John (Nikki) Hagemann, Jennifer (Ken) Paddock; Marie Brooks; sisters, Ann Brooks, Cathey Goodman, Hallie Alameda; brother, Ellis Brooks, Jr.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Terry; brother, Arthur; and grandson, Jared.

Visitation was held Oct. 29. A service was held Oct. 30 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel, followed by a celebration of life.

Remembrances may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, the Arthritis Foundation, or a charity of choice.
