CLYDE DAVID MARTIN
Sept. 18, 1937 – Feb. 13, 2024
CLYDE DAVID MARTIN obit

Clyde David Martin (Dave) was born to Clyde and Mary Maxine Martin in Kansas on September 18, 1937, and the world was instantly a better place. He died on February 13, 2024, while washing dishes at his kitchen sink, his faithful dog, Louie, by his side. Our Dad/Grandpa was the best! He loved life and always could find an adventure. Dad was an Air Force veteran, and after his service, he embarked on a jack of all trades life.

He was an ambulance driver when ambulances were Cadillacs, a firefighter, police officer, ditch tender for OID, contractor, and for many years throughout periods of his life, he was a truck driver. He loved being on the move and seeing the country from the windshield of his big rig. Dad was a burly guy with a big heart – he would help anyone in need. He could fix or build anything and even at the age of 86, he was cutting down trees before sitting down at his sewing machine to make rugs and rope baskets to give away.

He is survived by his children: Jane (Craig) Peterson, Bret (Cheri) Martin, Terri (Steve) Taylor; grandchildren Colton Botto, Kalindi (Sonny) Malcom, Garrett (Savannah) Martin, Justin (Darian) Martin, Lauren (Steven) Hall, and Jackson Taylor; one great granddaughter, Iyla Malcom, with another great granddaughter on the way, Baby Martin. His ex-wives, Barbara Martin and Dianna Martin loved him, even though he could be a stubborn cuss. Rest in peace, Dad. We love you and miss you.
