Chandler Wallace Groves, a fourth generation Farmington area resident, passed away Thursday, April 4 after a brief battle with cancer.
He farmed the family farm for many years before becoming the owner of McDillards Feed and NAPA auto parts, both in Copperopolis. He was outgoing and always ready to help others. He will be truly missed by his family, friends and the communities of Farmington and Copperopolis. Mr. Groves was a member of the Farmington United Methodist Church and a past member of the Farmington I.O.O.F.
Survivors include his wife Robin; his sons Chandler, Clinton, and Cameron, all of Farmington; his mother Gretchen Groves; sisters Alice (Scott) Shackelford, Brenda (Mike) Metzger, Amy (Mark) Madison; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial celebrating his life will be held Thursday April 11 at 11 a.m. at the Lake Tulloch Bible Church in Copperopolis. Burial will be private.
