Virtual Candidate Workshop Provides Election Day Info

Those interested in running for a number of local offices in November should make note of an upcoming workshop.

Stanislaus County Clerk-Recorder and Registrar of Voters Donna Linder has scheduled a Virtual Candidate Workshop in preparation for the Nov. 3, 2020 Presidential General Election.

The Candidate Workshop is scheduled for Saturday, June 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Via Skype meeting.

The purpose of the candidate workshop is to discuss the candidate guide, filing deadlines and documents related to filing for candidacy. To confirm attendance, contact Candidate Services at 209-525-5237.

Positions available locally include two Oakdale City Council seats, Oakdale City Treasurer, Oakdale City Clerk and two Oakdale Joint Unified School District seats, Area 1 and Area 2. Also, three seats will be available on the Valley Home Joint School District board.

Knights Ferry is seeking two full-term Community Services District Directors and one short term Director. Oakdale Irrigation District has openings for a Director in Division 1 and Division 4, Oak Valley Hospital District has two board director posts available and Valley Home has two full term and two short term slots available on the Municipal Advisory Council.
