This week we would like to share the exciting news of our Valley Home Missionary Baptist Church’s Vacation Bible School. All are welcome and invited to share this exciting time in Valley Home. Vacation Bible School will be held on June 5, 6 and 7 from 6pm to 7:30pm at the church. The theme will be “God’s Word is Truth”. What fun our young people will have while learning about God, and His amazing love. There will be crafts, music and lots of other fun activities. Valley Home Missionary Baptist Church is located at 13331 Valley Home Road. Please remember all are welcome, you do not need to be a member of the church … this is for all young people. Come sing songs, create fun crafts, laugh together, play games together; be thankful for our mighty God. Be thankful for the tender green grass and the beautiful blue skies around us. It’s going to be so much fun during VBS, June 5 through June 7 in Valley Home. Come one, come all.

Our Valley Home Park committee would once again like to say thank you to each and every one who supported our spaghetti feed fundraiser. It was a huge success and very greatly appreciated. Every donation given was very deeply appreciated and will help very much with our beautiful Community Park.

We end this week’s column by honoring the amazing legacy of a great man. Those of you who love rodeo and the rural way of life … we have all lost a true legend. There are few people that are true ‘Legends’ … in my humble opinion … RFD TV’s Mr. Patrick Gottsch was definitely one of those men. He touched the lives of so many. He believed strongly in the Cowboy way of life; prayer in our public events, especially in rodeo, respect for each other, respect and a deep belief in God, a love and appreciation for all mankind. He never stopped sharing his ideas and never stopped striving to keep the rural way of life alive.
