All in the community are invited to an upcoming Community Awareness Meeting, set for Tuesday, March 14 at Community United Methodist Church in Oakdale.
Presented by Oakdale Rescue Mission and U-turn Project, the meeting will focus on issues related to the homeless, mental health, addiction and recovery programs.
There will be an opportunity to learn more about both sponsoring organizations, which are actively working to address these issues in the community.
The meeting is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the church, 1480 Poplar.
Information tables will be available after the meeting for those interested in learning more about the two organizations – Oakdale Rescue Mission and U-turn Project – and possibly getting involved as a volunteer.
There will also be a question-and-answer time following the presentation.
