Friends of the Oakdale Library hosting book sale
Library sale

A much-anticipated annual event, the Friends of the Oakdale Library used book sale is fast approaching.

If you are looking for your next interesting book or if the kids need some new reading materials, you will be sure to find what you need at the sale.

The Friends of the Oakdale Library’s used book sale is scheduled on Friday and Saturday, April 26 and 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day at the Oakdale Library, 151 S. First Ave., Oakdale.

Organizers said this year’s two-day event will have a much larger selection of books than previous years and will be held in the outside courtyard. Admission is free and book prices are also very reasonable.

“This year’s sale promises to be the best ever. We’ll have children’s books, thrillers, romance novels, mysteries, coffee table books, fiction and non-fiction,” said Sharon Arpoika, Friends of the Oakdale Library President. “You name it, we’ll have it; all at bargain prices.”

Arpoika added that they will be accepting drop off donations of gently used books for the sale through Thursday, April 25 at the Oakdale Library.

The Friends of the Oakdale Library, Inc. is an all-volunteer public service organization. Proceeds from this annual sale go to support community programs at the Oakdale Library and other library needs.
