The Oakdale High School Aca Deca team placed eighth overall at the 32nd Annual California Academic Decathlon held March 11-14 in Sacramento, making it the highest-ranking Northern California team this year. Oakdale parent Lori Bolme said the team captured eight individual medals when she delivered the report during public comments to the Oakdale Joint Unified School District Board of Trustees at the March 14 regular meeting.

OHS Aca Deca competing team members are Daniel Dunning, Kyle Ridenour, Alissa Kummer, Paul Perrone, Nathan Van Ryn, Ryan Gilpin, Robert Anderson, Thomas Roberts, and Andrew Gilpin.
