Celebrate Moon Landing At Astronomy Night

All are invited to come celebrate the 50th anniversary of the U.S. first man on the moon landing at the next Astronomy In The Park event, set for Saturday, July 13 at Oak Grove Regional Park in Stockton.

Events begin at 6 p.m. at the Nature Center, parking is $6 cash and there will be solar telescope viewing from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Also planned is a special “Race to the Moon” presentation at 6 p.m.

Attendees can also ‘walk’ the solar system, take a picture on the moon and enjoy various activities, food trucks, bounce houses and more.

Telescope viewing of the night sky begins at 8:30 p.m.

The event is co-hosted by San Joaquin County Parks and Stockton Astronomical Society.

Oak Grove Regional Park is at 4520 W. Eight Mile Road, Stockton.
