Eugene and Okwudiri Echegi of Oakdale welcomed the arrival of their daughter, Victoria Uchechi Echegi, on Oct. 16, 2011. The newborn weighed eight pounds, one ounce upon arrival at Oak Valley Hospital.

The mother is the former Okwudiri Edward-Ugwu.

Welcoming the newcomer home were older siblings Dorothy, Jedidiah and Judah.

Edward and Charity Ugwu of Nigeria are the maternal grandparents.

Alophonsus and Catherine Echegi of Nigeria are paternal grandparents.
