It made for an exciting game of basketball when good friends Tom Cassinetto and Randy Russell met up this past Thursday at Valley Home School. Randy coaches Knights Ferry basketball and Tom coaches Valley Home. Before being hired to teach at Knights Ferry Randy taught at Valley Home School. Randy was a favorite at Valley Home and it is great to see his success and happiness at Knights Ferry School. Both gentlemen have strong ties to both Valley Home and Knights Ferry and no doubt having their teams come together on Thursday was a special day indeed! Our thanks to both of these fine teachers for hard work and their dedication to our students!

Fan favorite ‘Willie Tea’ once again created a magical evening! It was a great night of music, old friends and new, and a very appreciative crowd as Willie Tea joined with The Harmed Brothers to share their music with the crowd at The Cow Track on Saturday evening. Folks came from miles around to hear the talented musicians share their talent for singing and writing beautiful heartfelt music. I often find myself humming or singing out loud about playing catch with a child, an old man and woman still in love, and Benny’s homemade wine….what a special man we have among us!
