What a crazy school year this has been for our students! The year of COVID, wearing masks, no hugs, sanitizing, school activities and community events cancelled … what a challenging year for our young people. The devastating loss of our sweet Bonnie brought overwhelming sadness to all! Bonnie’s students both young and old alike reacted with an outpouring of love and fierce determination. They each were determined to honor this very special woman in their own way; this woman they loved with all their heart. Valley Home school staff and students will keep Bonnie’s beautiful spirit alive forever more!

As our school year comes to a close, we would like to say “Thank You” to Mr. Dallas Plaa. Mr. Plaa is serving as interim school superintendent at Valley Home. Mr. Plaa is very highly regarded for his work in the field of education. He brings an incredible amount of knowledge and leadership to our school. We are grateful.

Our Valley Home Kindergarteners will graduate on Tuesday May 18. What a huge milestone for each of them. Congratulations to each of you; keep reaching for the stars! On Wednesday, May 19 our Valley Home eighth graders will say goodbye to the school, most have called home for the past nine years. They have received a wonderful education from amazing teachers. They have learned sportsmanship and to be a team player. They have experienced tremendous heartache along with great joy! Their beloved Bonnie left them a very special gift; she taught our students to be kind, to be compassionate, to always walk with their heads held high, to treat others as they would want to be treated ... our beloved Bonnie left each of her students a very special gift. Congratulations to our 2021 eighth grade graduating class. You are very special; go out and climb those mountains ... the world awaits you!
