Wednesday, January 8th is our Valley Home MAC meeting. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Bring your questions, thoughts or concerns. Fire, CHP, Sheriff, County Officials and Valley Home School Superintendent Tom Price are usually there to answer your questions. It’s a great way to know what is going on in our community and in Stanislaus County! The meeting will be held in the school gym and will start at 6:30 p.m.

Be sure to tune in to A & E Channel to watch the new show, Top Dog and see our own Stanislaus County Sheriff K-9, Kuma compete. The show airs tonight, Wednesday, January 8 at 6:00 p.m.

Tonight is also the Relay For Life kick-off! The meeting is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at Oak Valley Medical Plaza. This year’s theme will be “Carnival”. Everyone is invited to attend tonight’s kick-off meeting. There will be much information available. Be sure to get your team together for this important event!

This Tuesday, January 14th our Valley Home 4-H will be holding their monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Chrisman Barn. These meetings are informative and so much fun! Remember, whether you are a current member or not, you are always welcome. The 4-Hers are making plans for their February Box Social. The Box Social is an exciting night for our 4-Hers. Please mark your calendars for this fun event, Tuesday, February 11th at our Valley Home School gym. Immediately following a very short business meeting (about 10 minutes), the auction will begin!

A great way to support our law enforcement ... on Saturday, January 18th our Stanislaus County Sheriff SWAT Association will be having an “all you can eat, crab, shrimp, pasta and more” dinner. Tickets are $60 each or you may purchase a table for eight for $480. Beer and wine open bar 5:00 p.m. Cocktails for purchase, dinner at 6:00 p.m. The dinner will be held at the Bianchi Center in Oakdale. For more information, call Phillip Harris at 209-204-9519. This is a great way to support those who put their lives on the line every day for us!

Everyone is invited to the Oakdale Fire Protection District meeting next Wednesday, January 15th at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Knights Ferry Community Hall. There is important information that will be discussed.
