The event will be hosted at the Stockton Police Department, 22 E. Market St., Stockton.

Join the University Park World Peace Rose Garden and International World Peace Rose Gardens organization for a rose pruning collaboration. Stockton Police Chief Eric Jones, Mayor Michael Tubbs, Councilmember Christina Fugazi and County Supervisor Miguel Villapudua will participate in the rose pruning as a collaboration for unity and peace.

There is no admission fee; for more information call 209-473-6167.

On April 23, 2016, the Ambassador World Peace Rose Garden was gifted by the University Park World Peace Rose Garden in appreciation of Stockton Police Department’s services to the community. The garden was ceremoniously planted during the Leadership Stockton PEACE Project unveiling. A Message of Peace, written by a student from the Children’s Home of Stockton, is placed at the rose garden. The message titled “What is Peace?” is in conjunction with University Park World Peace Rose Garden’s inspirational messages of Peace Contest.

TJ David will oversee the pruning of the roses for a healthy garden at the event.
