Womens Commission Gathers To Elect Officers

Election of Officers and a special presentation: Teens In Justice – Panel discussion is scheduled at the next meeting of the Stanislaus County Commission for Women.

The session is set for Tuesday, July 26.

Research has shown that consistent adult mentors can make a positive difference in the lives of young people who face serious challenges. Join the Stanislaus County Commission for Women for their 2016 Annual Meeting for the election of new officers and a special presentation. Hear from three exceptional women sharing their talents and compassion with youth in Juvenile Hall through creative and educational outlets. Featured panelists are Marian Martino and Gillian Wegener, Juvenile Hall Creative Writing Volunteers and Mentors, and Olga Cardenas, Youth Services Outreach Librarian for Stanislaus County.

The session is scheduled at Greens on 10th Street, 953 10th St., Modesto.

Social time begins at 6 p.m., business meeting at 6:30 p.m., program at 6:45 p.m.

Light refreshments will be served. The meeting is open to all who are interested – women, men, members and non-members alike. There is no cost to attend this event. Please RSVP to sccw01@gmail.com.
